Chaser Dot, the real-weather storm chasing MMO

Y'all. We made a video game.

It's called Chaser Dot, and the pitch is one sentence: it's a storm chasing MMO where the world is today's real weather.

Not weather inspired by real storms. The actual storms. The radar in the game is live radar. The tornado warnings in the game are the real polygons, the moment the NWS issues them. Every town, forecast office, and news station on the map is a real place you drive to. When it's quiet outside, it's quiet in the game. When it's an outbreak day, the whole world lights up and every chaser on the road is scrambling for position, same as real life.

The chase map: live radar, real warning polygons, and every chaser on the road

Here's what a session looks like. You watch the sky, pick your storm, and drive. You position your dot inside the polygon and ride the warning while it's live. You shoot photos and sell them to the news station photo desk, where the market pays for the shot, not the story. Every warning you research goes into your Warning Album, and the best runs get forged into cards with your name on them. You can found a crew, fly the tag, and work community sieges together when a big day fires.

A few honest notes:

  • It's free, and the beta is open. Sign in with Discord or Google and you're chasing in minutes. If the world's full, you're queued automatically.
  • It's a desktop browser game. No download, but no phones.
  • It's a game. It is not a warning source, and it will never replace official warnings or local emergency guidance. If anything, folks tell us it's teaching them to read real radar.
  • New here? The FAQ at chaserdot.com covers how to get in, what it costs, and the wipe.
