If you are looking for a break from the severe thunderstorms in the Plains or the late-season snow dumping on Denver today, you just need to look toward the West Coast. The Pacific Northwest and interior California are putting on an absolute clinic this week when it comes to outdoor comfort.
A broad ridge of high pressure has parked itself out west, keeping the air completely dry and pushing afternoon highs into that gorgeous mid-70s sweet spot.
Seattle and Portland Steal the Show
Washington and Oregon are dominating our nice weather leaderboards right now. Places like Marysville, Everett, and Yakima are riding seven-day streaks of nice conditions.
The real peak of this stretch arrives on Wednesday. We are seeing a rare and widespread "Perfect" rating across the region. Seattle is pulling down a stellar 87.8 score on Wednesday, driven by crystal clear skies, ultra-crisp dewpoints in the low 50s, and high temperatures right around 73 degrees. Yakima is scoring even higher with a 90.1.
If you have tickets to see the Atlanta Braves take on the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park on Tuesday or Wednesday night, you could not ask for better baseball weather. The roof will definitely be open, and you will just want a light layer for the evening walk back to the car.
California Gets Its Turn by Thursday
As we head into Thursday and Friday, that upper-level ridge shifts a bit, transferring the "Perfect" crown down to interior California and Nevada.
Sacramento, Stockton, and Redding are looking at phenomenal conditions to close out the work week. On Thursday, Sacramento hits a near-flawless 88.0 score. Highs will be sitting at a highly comfortable 76 degrees with light breezes around 7 mph. It is the exact kind of weather you want for a patio lunch, a long bike ride, or an evening dog walk before the summer heat really sets in.

If you are not on the West Coast, you still have some solid windows to get outside early in the week before a cold front drops through.
Today, Birmingham, Alabama, and Des Moines, Iowa, are both putting up "Beautiful" scores in the upper 70s. The air is surprisingly dry for the Deep South right now, keeping the humidity completely in check.
