Perfect Spring Weather Hits the Central Plains and Deep South
The Pacific Northwest is on a 10-day nice weather streak, but perfect spring conditions are finally spreading into the Central Plains and Alabama this week.

A 10-Day Streak in the Northwest and a "Perfect" Weekend Ahead
Y'all have had a wild week. Between the heavy, late-season snow in the Rockies and the severe storms rolling through the Deep South, you might be wondering if spring is ever going to settle down. Well, if you look at the Pacific Northwest, it already has.
Places like Seattle, Everett, and Marysville are currently sitting on a 10-day streak of nice weather. But the good news is that comfortable, quiet air is finally spreading east.

Today, a broad ridge of high pressure is building across the Central Plains. That means dry, stable air for a huge chunk of the country. Oklahoma City and Sacramento are pulling "Beautiful" ratings today. If you are heading out to Kauffman Stadium tonight to watch the Guardians play the Royals in Kansas City, you are in for a treat. KC scores a 74.7 out of 100 today with highs in the 70s.
Just keep in mind that relative humidity is dropping super low across the High Plains today. That pristine, dry air feels great, but it does mean elevated fire danger and a UV index hitting 7.5, so you will definitely want sunscreen if you are spending the afternoon outside.
Friday Relief for the Deep South
For folks in the Deep South, the severe weather threat is finally moving out by Friday, leaving behind an incredibly comfortable air mass.
In fact, portions of Alabama are hitting our "Perfect" category for Friday. Huntsville leads the pack with a massive 86.2 score, and Birmingham is right behind it at 82.3. Highs will be in the low 70s with calm winds averaging around 7 mph. The only thing keeping it from a flawless rating is some lingering cloud cover, but after the storms this week, a quiet, cool afternoon is going to feel amazing.
A Massive "Perfect" Zone on Monday

Looking ahead to Monday, that high pressure ridge really sets up shop over the Central Plains. We are tracking a massive "Perfect" zone developing right over Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Kansas City peaks with an 89.7 score on Monday, while Tulsa and Wichita also land in the comfortable 80s. Dewpoints will be sitting right around 50 degrees, which is exactly where you want them for crisp outdoor plans.
