Perfect Weather in the Ohio Valley and Northeast | June 3
A massive high-pressure system is bringing crisp, dry air and perfect outdoor weather to the Ohio Valley, Northeast, and Pacific Northwest this week.

Crisp Air and Perfect Patios: The Ohio Valley and Northeast Hit the Weather Jackpot
Y'all, if you are waking up anywhere near the Great Lakes, the Ohio Valley, or the Northeast this morning, you might want to take your coffee outside. While our team is tracking an active severe weather setup with heavy rain across the Plains today, a massive area of high pressure is doing us a huge favor back east.
According to the Weather Prediction Center, this high-pressure system is going to keep the eastern half of the country completely dry through Thursday. What that means for you is a glorious stretch of low humidity, clear skies, and temperatures that actually feel good.

Wednesday: The Ohio Valley and Great Lakes Shine
Today is an absolute gem for the Ohio Valley and the Central Great Lakes. We are seeing a massive zone of "Perfect" weather locking in over cities like Memphis, Nashville, Lexington, and Buffalo.
If you are heading to Nashville early to set up camp for CMA Fest, you are getting the best possible weather for it. Highs will hover right around the 80-degree mark, but the real star of the show is the lack of humidity. Dewpoints are dropping into the upper 40s. When the air is that dry, an 80-degree afternoon feels crisp instead of sticky. It is elite weather for an evening walk, a patio dinner, or catching a baseball game.
Thursday and Friday: The Northeast and Pacific Northwest Join In
By Thursday, that bubble of perfect air shifts slightly, bringing top-tier conditions to the Appalachians and New England. Places like Albany, New York, Burlington, Vermont, and Blacksburg, Virginia, will see highs in the mid-70s with practically zero chance of rain. If you are heading out to Saratoga Springs for the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, the atmosphere is going to be incredibly cooperative.

Not to be left out, the Pacific Northwest is setting up for a gorgeous end to the workweek. By Thursday and Friday, cities like Eugene, Bend, and Medford, Oregon, will hit the "Perfect" category. Afternoon highs in the low 70s and completely dry conditions make it an ideal window for hiking or getting out to the coast.
A Quick Note on the Sun
Because this air mass is so dry and cloud cover is sitting between 10 and 20 percent in these top-rated zones, the sun is going to be intense. The UV Index is pushing near 8.0 in places like Memphis and Los Angeles today. If you are standing in a festival line or sitting in the bleachers, you will burn faster than you think. Keep the sunscreen handy and drink plenty of water.
Enjoy the fresh air, y'all.
