The Phillies are in Washington to play the Nationals and the Orioles are across the water at Citi Field against the Mets, and both parks land inside today's best air. Highs in the low-to-mid 70s, humidity that finally feels like fall instead of late summer, and winds around 8 to 10 mph. Nothing about tonight asks for a jacket, but nothing asks you to sweat through the seventh inning stretch either. That's the sweet spot.

It's not the flashiest weather story, since these towns rarely crack the very top of a single day's rankings, but stacking up three full months of consistently pleasant air is its own kind of remarkable, especially in a summer that's produced hurricane surge in Hawaii, 98 mph thunderstorm gusts in Nebraska, and repeated flash flooding across the Ohio Valley.
